Scott Symington, Ph.D.,CST
is a clinical psychologist and well-known expert in the treatment of anxiety disorders
Scott, in addition to full-time private practice, where he has over 20,000 clinical hours of helping individuals and couples move towards greater levels of freedom and connection, Dr. Symington is a popular speaker and trainer. He regularly speaks at professional conferences; large church groups; graduate schools and universities; and business groups, including the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
Dr. Symington earned a PhD in clinical psychology from the Fuller Graduate School of Psychology and completed an MA in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. He received extensive training in psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as neuropsychology. He completed a clinical clerkship in neuropsychology at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and spent several years working with veterans at VA hospitals in both Long Beach and the Greater Los Angeles area.
After graduating he did a postdocorate in psychoanalytic therapy and became certified in sex therapy and sexual addiction. is also a certified sex therapist (ABCST) and actively trains other mental health professionals in the Two-Screen Method, the user-friendly application of mindfulness he developed.

He resides and practices in Pasadena, California with his wife, Melissa, and their two children.
